Russian President Dmitry Medvedev met with young Russian athletes after their return from the Singapore Youth Olympics on Monday. He praised the boys and girls and said their victory was a great success. Team Russia was second in total medal's count.
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev will meet with members of Russia’s junior national team. This team won second place in the team events at the first Youth Olympics in Singapore, reports "Interfax". At the Olympics 201 sets of medals were up for grabs. The Russians won 49 medals including 20 golds second only to the Chinese team.
The Russian national team is back from the Singapore Youth Olympics. Friends and supporters met them with flowers at the Moscow-based Domodedovo airport.
