Plyushchenko ready to continue to perform in personal tournament at Sochi Olympics

The Olympic champion of the Turin Games Yevgeny Plyushchenko said after his performance in the team tournament of the figure-skaters at the Olympic Games in Sochi that he is ready to continue to perform in the personal tournament as well.

Russia’s figure-skating team has strengthened its leadership in the team tournament after Plyushchenko showed his free-style programme. Plyushchenko was the best, gaining 168,20 points. Tatuki Matida from Japan is third ( 165,85 points).

“My injured back? We have a day off, and my back will not affect my performance at the competitions, I believe that everything will be okay, and I will skate my short and free-style programme,” Plyushchenko told journalists.

The competitions among men will start on February 13th.
