"Eurovision-2013" - Russian contestant Dina Garipova through to final

Russian contestant Dina Garipova is through to the final of the international song contest "Eurovision-2013" on the results of the first semi-final, where she performed the song What If.

The event was hosted by Malmö Arena in Sweden.

Taking part were also representatives from Austria, Estonia, Slovenia, Croatia, Denmark, Ukraine, the Netherlands, Montenegro, Lithuania, Belarus, Moldova, Ireland, Cyprus, Belgium and Serbia.
According to bookmakers Garipova is among the favorites of the competition, and artists from other countries have conceded the Russian participant is "a strong contender."

"Eurovision-2013" is hosted by "Malmö Arena", which was built in 2008 and accommodates over 15,000 spectators.

The competition featured representatives of 39 countries, and hosted by well-known Swedish comedy artist Petra Mede.

The grand finale on May 18 will feature only 26 performers: 10 winners of the two semi-finals, as well as representatives of the host country Sweden and of the "Big Five" (the founders and the main sponsors of the contest - France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK).

The first semi-final of "Eurovision-2013" has started in Malmö. Russia’s Diana Garipova is under number 6, performing the song "What If".
