Putin lauds Moscow-OECD ties

Russia consistently continues to harmonize relations with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) by notably joining the World Trade Organization.

A statement to this effect was made on Thursday by Russian President Vladimir Putin during his meeting with OECD Secretary General Jose Angel Gurria.

Putin thanked Gurria for his organization lending a helping hand to Russia ahead of the G-20 summit, scheduled for September 2013 in Saint Petersburg.

The Russian President expressed hope that Moscow and the OECD will continue to cooperate on a spate of problems pertaining to the world economy.
