Arctic Council impressed by Russia's cleanup program

Representatives of the Arctic Council, meeting in Sweden, were visibly impressed by the Arctic cleanup program presented by Russia, Nuritdin Ihnamov, a senior Natural Resources Ministry official, told the Voice of Russia.
About 8,000 tons of scrap metal and other waste has been collected on the Franz Josef archipelago and Alexandra Land as part of the cleanup.
The Russian delegation invited its foreign colleagues to participate in the next such expedition.
