Putin may deliver annual address on Constitution Day

Russian President Vladimir Putin may direct his annual address at the country’s Federal Assembly on Constitution Day, December 12, Russia’s Kommersant newspaper reports.

“Vladimir Putin may deliver his speech on December 12, which is Consitution Day,” the paper quoted its own source as saying today.

Political analysts tend to see a “certain symbolism” behind the date, although it’s yet to be seen if the president will choose to bring it into the spotlight.
