French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius has admitted possibility of raising the status of Palestine at the United Nations.
At government hearings in the Senate of the Republic, he said the issue was being debated between the European states. Such a development would meet France’s long-term position.
Fabius reminded of the "pre-election commitments” of President Francois Hollande, according to which "the Palestinian state should receive international recognition”. The Palestinian Authority intends to apply for observer-state status on November 29.
