This Sunday, participants of a bicycle race from Beijing to Moscow arrived in Krasnoyarsk, a city in Siberia which is considered to be the center of Russia from the geographical point of view.

The bicyclists were met by hundreds of the city’s residents – and about 15 girls in wedding dresses.

The girls were participants of the so-called “parade of brides”. This is an action for women who are already married but want to experience a mock wedding again.

The girls had their photos taken next to the participants of the race and returned to their husbands. The bicyclists went sightseeing. In particular, they visited the famous Stolby nature reserve, which is not far from the city.

This bicycle race is a part of the program of the Year of Russian tourism in China. Its participants have already visited, or are going to visit, 4 provinces in China and 18 regions in Russia.

The race started on June 5 in Beijing and will finish on July 7 in the Red Square in Moscow.
