Another Russian plane tragedy
Russian military plane Antonov-30 caught fire during an emergency landing at an airport outside the Czech city of Caslav on Wednesday.
According to unconfirmed reports, the accident occurred after the crew was unable to extend the aircraft’s landing gear.
There were 14 Russian and 9 Czech citizens on board. 7 of them were injured.
Earlier reports said of 19 injured people, but this has turned out to be inacurate.
The flight was a part of the Open Skies program.
The essence of this program is to allow military planes from various countries to fly over the entire territory of the program’s other participants.
The program is aimed at enhancing mutual trust between its members.
