Putin-Medvedev tandem strategic objectives intact
The strategic objectives of the Putin-Medvedev tandem remain intact, said the Russian Prime Minister’s press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, in an interview.
According to him, both leaders see a maximally comfortable life for Russians as their top priority.
But, Peskov points out, the current Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, elected as Russian President on March 4th, and the outgoing President Dmitry Medvedev, who will most likely become Prime Minister, may differ on the ways to attain the objective.
When answering a question about a likely crackdown following Putin’s inauguration, Dmitry Peskov said that he is no less a liberal than many of those who are officially known as liberals.
