The famous Russian adventurer-traveler Fyodor Konyukhov plans to make a second ascent of Everest. The first Russian expedition to the highest summit of the planet took place exactly 20 years ago, in 1992, and was led by Fyodor Konyukhov. The climber intends to place an Orthodox Cross on the summit of Mount Everest.

The expedition will take place from April 10th to June 10th, 2012.
