Russians will be able to visit Uruguay without a visa. A corresponding agreement between the two governments comes into force today. Russian citizens may enter, exit, transit and stay on the territory of Uruguay without a visa up to 90 days.
The signing ceremony of the agreement on non-visa mutual travel requirements of citizens of both countries took place on the fringes of the UN General Assembly in late September.
Thus, Uruguay joins the list of Latin American countries that Russians can visit without a visa. Currently, Russians enjoy visa-free entry into Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Guyana. (TASS)
