Already in his 3rd attempt in the push Bejanian posted 238 kilos, setting a new world record. The former record weight - 237 kilograms - was set in 2004 and belonged to an Ossetian representing Bulgaria Alan Tsagaev.

Bejanian secured a win with a total score of 421kilos. 2nd and 3rd places were also secured by Russian - Gennady Muratov and Maxim Sheiko, RIA Novosti reported.
