Syria: 4 civilians injured in Deir al-Zour
Four civilians were injured in Syria`s eastern city of Deir al-Zour when the country`s army launched an assault on the city, which was followed by tanks and armoured vehicles entering some areas of the city, Al Jazeera reports.
The authorities said the army was targeting suspected terrorists. Deir al-Zour has remained one of the main points of the unrest in Syria.
The assault on the city was launched hours after Syria`s President Bashar Assad talked to the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on the phone.
The UN chief urged Syrian authorities to stop the use of force against civilians.
