Second Freedom Flotilla ship bound for Gaza Strip
A French ship named The Dignity Al Karama from the second Freedom Flotilla with humanitarian goods on board has managed to reach the international waters and is going in the direction of the Gaza Strip, local media reported on Wednesday.
The ship is moving to the Palestinian coast and its crew hopes that the other Flotilla ships detained by Greek authorities will be able to join in. Israeli authorities declare that they will oppose any attempts to break the blockade of the Palestinian enclave.
In May last year Israeli boats attacked the ships of the first Freedom Flotilla that tried to reach the Gaza Strip coast. As a result nine people were killed and several were injured.
