Okhotsk Sea ice rescue continues

Russian icebreakers, the Admiral Makarov and the Krasin, and the Commonwealth mother ship have traversed about 300 meters in the past 24 hours as they continue their way our of the ice trap in the Okhotsk Sea.

Russian icebreakers, the Admiral Makarov and the Krasin, and the Commonwealth mother ship have traversed about 300 meters in the past 24 hours as they continue their way our of the ice trap in the Okhotsk Sea.

The Commonwealth mother ship, the Coast of Hope refrigerator ship, the Cape Elizabeth trawler and the Professor Kizevetter research vessel became trapped in ice in the Okhotsk Sea on the 31st of December.

All ships, except the Commonwealth, have been rescued.
