Adriatic crew out of harm's way

All 11 crew members of the Moldovan-flagged dry bulk carrier that sank in stormy seas off the Israeli coast on Saturday have been taken on board a Taiwan-registered ship. The Adriatic, with 3,000 tons of iron on board, sent out a distress signal off the Mediterranean port city of Ashdod. The all-Ukrainian crew abandoned the sinking vessel in lifeboats.
