The condition of the Kommersant daily reporter Oleg Kashin, who was severely beaten up by unknown assailants last Friday night, remains grave, but his body temperature has fallen to normal. This comes in a report by the Interfax news agency with reference to doctors of the neurosurgical rehabilitation department of the hospital that Kashin is currently being treated at.
The reporter’s wife Yevgeniya Milova told the daily yesterday that her husband is still in an artificial coma, so the doctors are unable to come up with any kind of prognosis.
According to earlier reports, Kashin was whipsawed by two unidentified people outside his home in downtown Moscow. He was later rushed to hospital with grave injuries and a concussion.
Although the life attempt investigation is under control by the Prosecutor-General and Interior Minister, police investigators have still failed to identify the assailants.
