Russia has revised its arms procurement programme for the coming decade from 13 trillion roubles to 20 trillion. Deputy Defence Minister Vladimir Popovkin has told this to the press at the airshow in Farnborough.

Russia has revised its arms procurement programme for the coming decade from 13 trillion roubles to 20 trillion. Deputy Defence Minister Vladimir Popovkin has told this to the press at the airshow in Farnborough.

He outlined a shopping list of hundreds of Russian-made unmanned reconnaissance planes, a thousand new heavy-duty cargo helicopters and helicopter gunships  and 70 fifth-generation jet fighters, ten of them before 2015 and 60 more before 2020.
