Putin arrives in Kazan to talk Universiade-2013
Prime Minister of Russia, Vladimir Putin, has arrived in Kazan today today to take part in the talks on the 27th World Summer Universiade Tatarstan is hosting in 2013. According to the premier’s press service, the talks are expected to focus on the construction of sports facilities and transport infrastructure. Mr. Putin will participate in the foundation stone laying ceremony of a football stadium, where the opening and the closing of the Universiade will take place. Designed in accordance with FIFA regulations, the stadium will accommodate 45,000 spectators. Mr. Putin will also bring flowers to a memorial which commemorates the Tatars who were killed during WW II.
